Our client, a well-established company in the industrial sector, requested our support to reinforce their Project Finance Controlling function. The internal team had been significantly weakened due to several departures and an upcoming maternity leave, leaving only two days for a rapid handover. Immediate, reliable expertise was required to ensure continuity and maintain financial control over a strategic project.

Our mission was to take full responsibility for project financial management and to act as the Project Manager’s key business partner:

  • Active contribution to global project management

  • Acting as the main partner for the project’s financial strategy and success

  • Supervising, analysing, and supporting all finance-related topics

  • Challenging and approving project financials

  • Supporting project setup: SAP project creation, parameterization, participation in stakeholder meetings

  • Preparing budgets and forecasts

  • Managing and analysing project costs, revenue, and profitability

  • Preparing timely forecasts for sales, costs, margins, and cash

  • Overseeing the billing process and follow-up

  • Supporting finance teams during monthly closings and ensuring clear, accurate reporting

  • Monitoring and analysing project cash flow and the evolution of the cash curve
